Hero(es) of the Day: The Men of 1702

I grew up in a typical 1990 cookie cutter Florsheim home. It's taken a few beatings over the years, but over the last year or so, my brothers have basically remodeled the place I call home [all while having families, jobs, school, etc]. You see, my brothers are the handiest of men and I think they deserve a shout out.

Turn all the square corners in the house round? No problem.
Replace the floors? Check.
Remove 90s florescent lighting and replace with canned lights? Sure thing.
Update brass fixtures?  Affirmative.
Remodel and rewire the laundry room? Why not?
New dishwasher and microwave?  Okay!
Put in new sprinkler pipes? Done.
Paint the exterior? Happy Mother's Day.
and the list goes on...

I knew about the rounded corners and saw pictures of the exterior paint, but had no idea about everything else that happened until I was talking with my brother, David, earlier this week.

So, I just wanted to write this post to my brothers to say thanks for their hard work [long after they've finished it].

Dear Brothers,

You work hard and do many good things that go unnoticed. Thanks. I'm proud of you.

Love,

Rachelle/Shelly-Bell/Rashiz

*Note: while my brothers did a large portion, I can't leave out my sister, Heather, and my sisters-in-law...I know they had a part in all of it too.
